      Welcome to Caritas Kid's Cottage. Our mission is to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters each childs natural desire to explore, discover, create and become a lifelong learner. Our childcare experience is designed to promote each childs individual social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. We will offer an environment filled with love, patience and kindness, and that encourages creativity, individuality, and independence. At Caritas Kids Cottage we believe in the value and uniqueness of each child we serve. Our staff will be trained and qualified in early childhood education; we will set our standards high and expect our staff to set only the best example for the children in our care. Curriculum at Caritas includes the child-initiated and teacher-directed activities. Our programs utilizes the Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Twos, and the Creative Curriculum for Preschool as guides for planning the curriculum in each of our rooms. Each classroom has weekly lesson plans posted in the classroom. These plans contain a number of activities, designed to foster each childs development, and the development of the group as a whole. Lesson plans may be changed in order to accommodate the childrens changing interests. Programs Infants (6 weeks to 18 months) Toddlers (18 months to 3 years) Preschool ( 3 years to 5 years old) Before and After School ( 5 years to 12 years old)
