Nidal Shawahin, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who sees patients 18 years and older. He provides preventative care, including annual wellness exams, vaccinations and health screenings. Dr. Shawahin specializes in managing minor illnesses and injuries, cold and flu symptoms, allergies and chronic conditions, including asthma, anxiety and depression, COPD, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, obesity, thyroid disease and tobacco use. He also performs trigger point injections and injections to treat joint pain. Dr. Shawahin finds it very rewarding to diagnose and treat a diverse range of medical conditions, using his expertise to help his patients recover and improve their quality of life. Known for his commitment to treating each patient with respect and dignity, Dr. Shawahin always goes above and beyond to provide the best possible care to his patients. Dr. Shawahin is from Jordan. When he isn’t caring for patients, he enjoys reading, traveling and watching soccer. Dr. Shawahin earned his medical degree at the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan and completed his internal medicine residency at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
