Firing temperatures exceeding 2450 F account for the durability of this pottery. The glaze results in an ultra-smooth finish for easy cleaning. It is lead- and cadmium-free and safe for use in freezer, oven, microwave and dishwasher. It is non-toxic and resists scratching and chipping. To ensure even heat distribution and prevent cracking, it is recommended that a small amount of liquid be added to a baker if the entire bottom surface is not covered. Pottery that has been frozen should be brought to room temperature before being put in the oven.
