As an apple critic I had very high hopes for this apple orchard. Unfortunately my expectations were not on par with reality. The apples at this orchard tasted like a mushy ball of garbage. At one point they gave a peach and told me it was an apple. They seriously thought it was an apple even when I pulled up an image search. I'm honestly concerned about their staff. In the apple bargain bin they had what I could only assume was a mesh bag on "lil cuitie" clementines. If you want REAL apples and SMART employees go to A-Peeling Acres in New Ulm Minnesota.

I had seen photos online of the scarecrow festival, but they were obviously from previous years. No one monitored the children riding on the train and kids were pushing the wheels while it was in motion. The list of attractions at the apple orchard was what drew my family to the 1 1/2 hour drive....petting zoo?!? Where? There was a goat that wouldn't come near the kids. Mountain slide? Really? That was a MOUNTAIN? I was completely embarrassed for suggesting this place. A girl helped my nephew ON to a pony, texted while he was the only one on and then accused him of "sneaking" in and not paying for the ride. She never asked for the money. Not allowing strollers inside was ridiculous. I could go on, but I'll stop. I would not recommend this apple orchard/scarecrow festival to anyone.
