General Info
Years before Nomadic Traveler Photography was established, two individuals on different life paths were simultaneously discovering their passions for adventure and photography. Joey and Angie are a dynamic duo that first met in the beginning of 2013 in Cocoa Beach, Florida. From there they each went on to explore different parts of the country – Joey to the west coast, Angie to the Dakotas. After a year, they reconnected back in Cocoa Beach and shared with each other everything that they experienced, felt, saw, and learned from. They inspired one another to embrace every individual moment in life as a gift, and use photography as a way to keep those moments alive. Together, the couple packed up all of their earthly possessions and rented out a cabin that was nestled just at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in a cute little town called Maggie Valley, NC. They spent their days exploring miles upon miles of trails, listening to the bugle call of the elk in Cataloochee Valley, staring over the edges of waterfalls into the dark world of water that swirled below, and snowboarding to their hearts content. They used that year in Maggie Valley to fine-tune their photography skills while immersing themselves into the history and beauty of the Appalachian Mountains. After their lease was up, Joey and Angie looked back through all of their photographs from the past year in Maggie Valley and were in awe at how much there was to see and share from just one little corner of the world. Eager to experience more of life’s opportunities, they decided to part ways with the Valley and settled on Beech Mountain, the highest town in the eastern part of the country. The concept of NTP first came to life when the team began offering free photography during their time in Maggie Valley as a means to gain the experience they needed when it came to running a business. Combined together, the team has experience with photography including, but not limited to, events, family & couples, commercial, landscape, nature, abstract, and action/sports and videography.
