Recently my son pawned an expensive but used electric guitar there at Beckley Pawn & Gun Shop. He went in to pay on the item when it was due, but the store was closed. Gradually he forgot and was over a month late when he did go in to redeem the guitar and amp. He was wanting to pay to get out, meaning the price he received for the two items, plus the two months accrued interest. To his surprise, Keith had already sold his guitar. Up until this time we thought of Keith as a good man who really cared about his customers. He knew my sons' phone # and could have at least called him before he did pawn the guitar, seeing as how we had done business with him and the prior owner for about 20 years. In Texas you have to wait 90 days before pawning someone's merchandise. We feel that Keith could have at least made a phone call to our son, or he could have waited just a little while longer before he sold such an expensive instrument that meant so much to our son.
