0A few weeks back, I heard that Olive Garden was going to have a Never Ending Pasta Bowl deal and I was excited for that. Our experience with that deal did not turn out to our expectation. Let's start from the beginning. When we first entered the restaurant, we were required to wait. We were a bit confused as there were clearly a ton of tables free to be used. We decided to go along and waited for 10 minutes. When our name was called, we were led to a room full of empty tables and we were sat down. After a while, the waitress came by and asked us what kind of drinks we wanted and offered us a sample of wine; I wish I could bump up the star for that service. We told the waitress that the whole table would like to get that Never Ending Pasta Bowl deal. She said sure and went away to process the order. She came back a little after she had taken our order to give us our salad and soup. My parents and I started to feast on the food and we even shared a little of our side for taste (THIS PART IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!). After some time has passed, our waitress came back with our order of pasta and it looked plain. When asked the waitress that we'd like a refill on our soup as my mother wanted to try out a different one. Here's the part that shocked all of us. She said no. Um, what? I told her that it was clearly stated that we'd be provided with unlimited breadsticks, salad, or soup. I mean, that's like the whole motto of Olive Garden. She then told us that we're not allowed anymore refill due to us sharing food... WHAT?! And here's another thing that ticked me off. While the waitress said all of this, she was trying to be transparent as possible and kept trying to walk away as we were questioning her on this. She told us again that since we shared food, we weren't allowed for any refills of our sides. I was frustrated and there was nothing that I could've done at that point. In the end, know that Olive Garden wants you to know that SHARING IS NOT CARING.
The food is good, especially the salad and breadsticks. The price is right. The main problem is the waiting time.
This is incredible taste and delightful atmosphere at its best.
Good food for a chain--friendly staff--always something new to try--Hey I know Italians laugh at this food, but it tastes good!
I just have to say, The Olive Garden Rocks! I don't care if it isn't "authentic" Italian food to some people. This is the best tasting and always fresh Italian I food in my neck of the woods!
