I have a family member at Murray Highlands. I have been to several other places looking for suitable care for someone with dimentia. This facility exceeds all my hopes - the number of residents is small, the caregivers are kind and consistent, the owner lives on site. The food is excellent, home cooked and fresh!
There aren’t a lot of activities, but at this stage most of the people living there need a quiet,calm place without stress. When my family member had pain and anxiety, the nurse sat with her for 15 minutes and just chatted until she was relaxed. If I had been there, that’s exactly what I would have done.
It is so upsetting to have to put my family member in care, out of her home. This place makes me feel she is being treated with respect, dignity and tenderness. I highly recommend Murray Highlands Memory Care.
