Is an absolute ANGEL !! If you, or someone you know, has been having undiagnosed illness and feel there is nowhere else to turn, I recommend Dr. Myers wholeheartedly!

I have been having severe, sometimes excruciating abdominal pain and chronic diarrhea for 10 years! I have been to emergency rooms too many times to count. I was under the care of another Internal Dr. for quite some time, who made light of my symptoms, even made me feel ridiculous and he told me there was no way I was experiencing pain on the level I described to him.

I had a colostomy about 6 years ago, along with CT scans, ultrasounds, x-rays and so many tests done in the recent past,all to the same answer-no conclusive diagnosed !

May 18th, 2010, I went in for colostomy and EGD testing. I was prepped and on a gurney when I was rolled in for the procedure where I met Dr. Myers. She was lovely, personable, reassuring and empathetic,(not to mention..cute as a button). She asked me what my symptoms were, and I explained as best I could, and she said "You have Bile Salt Diarrhea!, Get up, go home!" Of course she was joking about going home, and within a minute, I was out. After I woke and spent my time in observation, she came to speak with me and my family to tell us her findings. And she was correct, it was BSD! Ten years of my life... Too many Dr. and tests to count.... Pain I can't describe...and this lovely little woman just LOOKED IN MY EYES AND LISTENED TO ME, and just like that, AN ANSWER!!! Not cancer. Not cysts,growths or tumors. No corrective surgery required! Oh, the emotions that washed over me. Relief, validation, gratitude. Yet angry at the countless professionals who could have found this years ago. Had they only taken the time to look at me, listen to me.

Dr. Carla Myers is truly an absolute angel! After coming to terms a while ago that this painful illness was what the rest of my life would be like, I now have a whole new world to look forward to!
