The forerunner of McCarter Coach & Tour, McCarter Transit began when Jon and Beverly McCarter purchased the Blackhawk School District school bus contract from Blair Ferguson in 1974. In the following year, the Beaver Falls School District contract was purchased from James Rhodes. The New Brighton School District was added in 1977. In addition to providing school bus transportation for three local school districts, McCarter offers services such as individual vacation tours to destinations throughout the United States and Canada; charter service for groups to travel to their favorite destinations; and setting up package plans for groups to travel together on sightseeing tours. McCarter Coach & Tour is located in Beaver Falls, Pa.
