      I ate at The Amarcord over the weekend, it was awesome. They had a fig salad special, I could have eaten two! The wine list is great too, if you're ever in Beacon NY this restaurant is a must. You can walk to it from the train station.

      Highly recommended!! Excellent food and great service. Extensive wine list and the Lava cake is the best I've tasted just about anywhere.

      Whether it's a day at the Dia Museum, or shopping the unique shops in Beacon, or hiking in the Highlands, or maybe you're visiting Beacon's Second Saturday, or perhaps a day spent at the Beacon waterfront, enjoy fine Hudson Valley dining at Café Amarcord in the Dutchess County Revival City of Beacon. Off street parking and an outdoor patio for warm weather dining. Café Amarcord's warm comfortable decor and delightful food awaits your discovery. We serve late, till 11pm Friday and Saturday, so pull up to the glow of our Onyx topped bar and make yourselves at home. Café Amarcord, the restaurant, which Rifo Murtovic opened last January (with partner Sean O'Donnell) on Beacon¿s main drag, certainly has its Fellini-esque moments. It also happens to have fabulous fare, though some of it strays far from anything you¿d associate with the cooking of Emilia-Romagna. Murtovic is from Montenegro, just across the Adriatic... hails from Danny Meyer¿s famed Union Square Café in New York, so they came to Beacon with an appreciation of global cuisines and a desire to expand the Italian concept beyond red sauce staples (a noble idea, to be sure).
