A&A BAR-B-QUE OPENED ON APRIL 22,1981 BAY CITY TEXAS .Allen and Arlene worked at her parent's BBQ restaurant ( Hinzes BBQ in Wharton) when it opened. They perfected their craft and quickly made a name for themselves. A&A Bar-B-Que is now one of the popular places to eat in Matagorda County. If your looking for some down south cooking, this is the place to be!

Usually pretty good food. Service is not always very friendly.
It's Sunday five minutes till 11:00, the doors are open and the store is not running, despite the store and phone stating the restaurant opened at 10:30. The cashier never once greeted not even looked at us. The woman was a tattooed country woman. I am here from Dallas, because I always rave how wonderful A&A is, but no longer will I eat at A&A, while I'm down. Rude Employees will always run off customers.
This is the best barbeque I have ever had. This is my familys' hometown and every time I am in town from Chicago I have to have it. Burns barbeque in Houston is close but this wins out. If you are looking for authentic BBQ this is a must.
