Shawn Miller Joseph, MSN/FNP-CM, specializes in endocrinology. She is a graduate of Charity School of Nursing, where she received her associate of science in nursing, and then completed her bachelor's in nursing at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux. She received her training as a family nurse practitioner at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. She has a special interest in treating and caring for adults with diabetes. Shawn has a passion for treating patients with obesity and other comorbidities such as hypertension, kidney disease and heart disease. She is licensed by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
