The Safety Council is a nonprofit organization that offers safety services for in workplaces, communities and homes. It provides multimedia development, community sponsorship and site safety auditing solutions. The organization is affiliated with the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils, American Association of Safety Councils and Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance. The Safety Council operates community, traffic and occupational divisions. The organization conducts driving improvement and traffic court referral programs. In addition, it offers cardiopulmonary resuscitation training classes. The organization has a team of certified occupational safety specialists. It also conducts a teaching program that focuses on information related to excavation standards, general requirements, soil classification and material handling.
