Forest Heights Academy of Excellence is an academic and visual and performing arts magnet school. It serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The academy focuses on academic, physical, social and emotional development of students. Its Arts Program includes art, dance, drama, and instrumental and vocal music. Forest Heights Academy of Excellence provides instruction in Spanish and creative writing. It operates science and computer laboratories. The academy employs a librarian, speech therapist, and instructional and curriculum integration specialists, as well as nurses and support staff members. It also maintains an art performance theater.
