Founded in 1965, St. James School is a private, Catholic school that serves more than 450 students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school offers classes in language arts, social studies, mathematics, science and religious education. It also provides a range of programs in Spanish, French music and art. St. James School publishes a monthly newsletter that offers information about upcoming events for parents and students. The school has a home-school association that provides family-oriented activities, as well as informative lectures for parents. It additionally provides an accelerated reader program that is used to monitor and guide reading practices and help students in improving their reading skills.
