Like the oysters! But your right about the owner drinking while working the crowd . I had oysters rockefeller . (they were still cold.) Will not go back.

Have eaten there several times, and tried many things on the menu. Always great! Service is friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and a great addition to downtown Bartow. Much better than Crazy fish and red lobster! We will Definately go back.

We've had the grouper sandwich, chicken sandwich, hamburger, oysters, grilled shrimp and chicken Alfredo. Service is a bit chaotic as stated in another review. The only thing that I haven't cared for was the chicken Alfredo. In my mind I was expecting the Cajun chicken pasta at Red Lobster so it was a complete let down. I set myself up for failure on that one. My husband says I could be a food critic, we dine out at least 5-8 times a week. Good food for a good price. Would like to see crablegs on the menu.

Greasy fried food.. Nothing special about this place. Seafood is frozen not fresh. Owner has good customer skills - checking on customers satisfaction even while drinking his liquor out of a cup.

The food is fantastic. The service is good, when you can finally track down a server. Craft beer is awesome. The "chaotic" environment could be alleviated by assigning the servers sections, rather than having them picking up tables all across the restaurant. Overall, a great place to eat!

I was looking for a place to eat in Bartow that was more "hole in the wall" and less fast food or cookie cutter. My husband and I found this place. It is new to a Bartow, but really the only "real" seafood place around. I had the gator, which was fried in a batter unlike I've ever had. It was delicious, though a tad bit salty. My husband got the catfish, which I of course tried. It was the best! Perfect breading and fresh! The coleslaw was delish-not too much dressing. Fries were good. Hushpupies tasted home made. We were both so impressed this is our new favorite. The catfish and gator we're very fresh and the flavor was awesome. Oh yeah, the oyster rockafeller was our appetizer-spinach and cheese on top-yum! The owner helped serve and asked how the meal was...support small businesses, so they keep on!!
