The Bartonville Police Department provides law enforcement services, deters criminal activities, maintains law and order, and protects lives and property. It has a team of auxiliary police officers who provide emergency assistance in disaster situations and during special events. In addition, the department has a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team that responds to high-risk law enforcement requirements. The Bartonville Police Department operates a dispatch center that handles various emergency and nonemergency cases. It has more than 10 part- and full-time officers. The department supports the School Resource Officer (SRO) program that helps to reduce violence in schools. The Bartonville Police Department is located in Bartonville, Ill.
