We have been going to l&m diner almost every weekend since it has opened. The seating has always been seat yourself. If there is a booth or table open you can sit at it. Well today apparently the seating has changed! We came in the back door like we always do and we walked by a few open booths and picked one in the middle of the restaurant and sat down. The bus boy brought our place mats and starts giving us silverware, then a rude waitress who we see every time we eat there and knows who we are walked up to us and says very rudely and very loud "there's a line at the door!! You guys have to get up and wait! Sorry guys!". I'm pretty sure everyone in the restaurant could hear this. Not only was it very embarrassing it was uncalled for and rude. She could have nicely asked us to wait for a different table, even though it has always been seat yourself? And we would have gladly waiting, we didn't realize that the seating rules had changed. But how she talked to us is completely unprofessional! Needless to say we left and probably won't come back.
