The City Manager s Office promotes the involvement of the city council, staff and citizens in community's needs and future plans. It offers support services for the city council insuring that services are provided to meet community needs. The City Manager s Office supports citizen involvement in actions which them and the community. The City Manager s Office is a part of the City of Bangor, which maintains public, finance, infrastructure and human resources departments. The City of Bangor also features a health and community services department that provides nutritional counseling, nursing assistance and emergency housing services. It maintains purchasing, public works, engineering and code enforcement departments.
