I work at an optometry practice...this company does not have their stuff together. Very long waits on hold, they never have our account number on record, it has changed about 3 times thus far. It's like pulling teeth to get an order status. Their jobs run an average of 4 weeks. They are absolutely horrible to deal with.

One star is being overly generous. I wish they had a lower option as their service does not even warrant one star. It's been over six weeks since I ordered my glasses and I'm still waiting with no end in sight. I did get a pair of glasses after nearly 4 weeks, but one of the lens was ground on the wrong axis and for the last 2 1/2 weeks my optometrist has been waiting for them just to provide a corrected lens. Apparently, this is the only lab my optometrist can use with the insurance. From now on I'll use an out-of-network lab provider so I can get glasses that are correct the first time in the normal 3-5 days.

Speaking as an eye care professional, I can say that the previous poster has no idea what they are talking about AND clearly just wants to throw dirt on this Optum. Which, does not deal directly with the public so I find it humorous that someone would even post saying they dealt with them directly. A progressive lens without an RX is impossible. Without being prescribed, its as thick as a hockey puck and cant fit into a frame. Even if the lens was cut down to a plano (non prescription), there would STILL be prescription in the add portion of the lens. So, the previous poster is clearly mistaken AND delusional.

They etched the prescription numbers on my eye wear lenses but failed to put the prescribed correction in them. They were also negligent to apply the anti-glare coating as paid for and requested. I received a pair of "progressive bifocals" with no prescription! If I could give them 10 thumbs down for service that wouldn't be enough.
