General Info
New Cathedral Cemetery was founded in 1871 and still has room for several generations of cemetery plots. The land is adorned with rolling hills, lush landscapes, and historical landmarks. If you choose cremation, choose "The Garden" to bury or store the remains of your loved one. The niches are securely kept inside a columbarium or buried underground. The cemetery boasts the resting place of the most Hall of Fame baseball players than any other cemetery in the country. Civil War heroes, famous figures, politicians, and other sports heroes are buried within the burial grounds as well. The Perpetual Care Fund guarantees that the land will be manicured and taken care of indefinitely, so you will never have to worry about the final resting place of your loved one. New Cathedral Cemetery is a Catholic cemetery that offers pre-planning services. You can reserve burial plots for the whole family now so that you are not scrambling to find cemetery lots close to each other in the future. Burial spaces side by side are special to families and offer convenience when future generations visit the cemetery for years to come. Choose permanent memorialization options like monuments and grave markers representing the deceased. Plan a committal service or graveside service in the graveyard for friends and family to attend the burial. In addition, the cemetery accommodates traditions for the burial of those who qualify for veteran services and military honors. Outside of in-ground burial, you will find options for above-ground burial in a mausoleum. Private family estates are also available if you want to keep your burial sites private. For cremation services, niches can be stored in a private columbarium or community columbaria. Choose cremation benches, granite monuments, or other memorials for your loved one. New Cathedral Cemetery serves families of Baltimore, Towson, Catonsville, Ellicott City, Lutherville Timonium, Linthicum, Pikesville, Gwynn Oaks, Randallstown, Owings Mills, and Reisterstown. Let the planning team help you with genealogy research to find family members who are already buried in the cemetery. New Cathedral Cemetery can be found at 4300 Old Frederick Rd Baltimore, MD 21229. New Cathedral is a wonderful place for your loved ones. My great grandparents are buried there as well as numerous other family members. The staff is always kind, caringand helpful. Your grief is handeled with genuine concern and not with the attitude that it's just their job.
