The items sold here are really useful, specially if you need to put up an office. You can surely find what you need and it won't cost you a lot.

Okay - yes, the place has grea...

Okay - yes, the place has great furniture at wonderful prices. But customer service stinks. Here is what I experienced.

Yesterday, outside, there was a sofa that I immediately fell in love with - 99 dollar special that day. I sat on it - both sides, in the middle - saw they were originally selling it for 268.00. I knew I wanted it. The woman in the store came out, and she said I could put a deposit of twenty dollars on it and they could hold it for me. We went in, and I had the twenty out as she started filling in the paperwork. Then she spoke to the woman in the back about delivery and charges. When she returned, she said, "

Bad news" Apparently it was a one day only, cash and carry type sale. They would give me delivery at fifty dollars since I lived nearby. Unfortunately, I only had enough money that day to cover the cost of the sofa. I was so terribly disappointed. We haven't had a sofa in years, and this was more than perfect. She took my phone number and told me if something changed, she would call.

She did call me that afternoon, right before they closed. After speaking to a woman in charge - I thought she was referring to the owner - she said if I could come down and pay for it by Friday I could have it - and they could even hold it a few more days until I could either pay for delivery or arrange it myself. I was ecstatic. It was the sofa I had dreamed of for our little house. At a price I could somewhat afford. I told her I'd be there first thing in the morning. She actually said they would hold it til Friday just in case.

I hurried down the next morning as early as I could - around ten. On my way there - I was two minutes away from the store - my cell phone rang. She said a woman came in that morning and paid for it completely and she wanted to save me a trip. At my age, I rarely cry over anything, but I could feel the tears coming. I reminded her of all they had told me and said I was two minutes away. She could have called me when that other person came there. I was furious and hung up, then continued to the store.

She came out and mumbled something about, "Well, we would have needed a deposit..." and I reminded her that I was more than ready yesterday not only to pay a deposit, but to pay for the whole thing. I would have run down after she phoned me if she hadn't said they were getting ready to close up.

To make matters worse, she kept saying, "I understand. I'll call you if something else comes in."

Forget it. How in the world can I trust them? They talk about working with people in the community. What a joke. I can't think of a time in recent years that I have been this utterly disappointed. This is very very poor business sense. I will never look at anything they have to offer and will let every one know of my experience.

You don't treat someone like that.
