Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems, also known as bSAS, is a designated substance abuse treatment and prevention authority for the City of Baltimore in Maryland. It is responsible for the administration of federal, state and local grant funds for substance abuse treatment and prevention services. The organization offers prevention, intervention and recovery programs. It monitors treatment programs, collects client demographic data and plans for the development of new services. The organization serves more than 22,000 people every year, as well as oversees a network of over 35 service providers. Founded in 1990, Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems is a nonprofit corporation that is administered by the Baltimore City Health Department.
