It is a nursery grower and supplier of ornamental grasses, bamboo, perennials, ferns, sedges, rushes and other exotic nursery plants. The company has affiliations with the Perennial Plant Association, American Horticulture Society, American Bamboo Society and The International Waterlily & Water Gardening Society. Kurt Bluemel Inc. operates a landscape design and contracting division that provides residential/commercial landscape services throughout the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan region and the United States.
