      Mitchell High School, located in Bakersville, N.C., is governed by the Mitchell County Schools. It teaches classes from nine through grade 12, and enrolls more than 700 students. The school provides an extensive curriculum, including family and consumer science, computer engineering technologies, agriculture education, foreign language, construction technologies, health and physical education, science, social studies, English and health occupations. Mitchell High School also teaches automotive service and trade and industrial technologies, business education, cultural arts, and vocational programs. It provides a wide range of programs and activities, such as yearbook, school newspaper, clubs, student council, vaccination program, and outdoor activities. Mitchell High School also offers various athletic activities that include basketball, cheerleading, football, golf, soccer, softball, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.
