Located in Bakersfield, Calif., Jason's Retreat offers a range of treatment, care and support services to individuals suffering from substance abuse. The center serves more than 45 men, as well as transportation services to and from professional appointments, counseling facilities, parenting classes and schools. It also conducts classes on anger management, life style changes, and medical, legal and financial obligations. The center offers educational programs on self esteem, relapse prevention, job preparedness, job skills, and alcohol and drug addiction. It organizes various recreational activities, including family nights. Established in 1987, Jason's Retreat is a part of Citizens for the Betterment of Community and Country, which is a nonprofit agency that operates a network of care and support facilities.
