      General Info
      Sakai Intermediate School has an enrollment of more than 550 students in grades five and six. It employs over 30 teachers and is located in Bainbridge Island, Wash. The school offers special classes in art, physical education and music. Its library staff supports students in literacy, research skills and technology integration. The school s counselors and administrators provide individual and group guidance services. The school also has special education teachers, reading specialists and paraprofessionals. Its parent-teacher organization conducts fundraising events for purchasing playground equipment and library books. Sakai Intermediate School is a part of the Bainbridge Island School District, which educates more than 4,000 students and operates over five educational facilities.
