      Established in 1887, The San Juan County Assessor department is operated by the government of San Juan County in Aztec, N.M. The department is responsible for the discovery, listing and valuation of all properties within the county. It serves property owners by complying with state statutes and all New Mexico state taxation and revenue department/property tax division rules and regulations. In addition to real property, including land, homes and commercial buildings, the department is responsible for evaluating personal property accounts consisting of manufactured homes, businesses, several types of livestock and other taxable personal property.
