Pine Tree Elementary School is for students in preschool through forth-grade. Its curriculum is directly aligned to Indiana s academic standards. The school curriculum s content areas include reading, math, English, spelling, writing, science, health, social studies, art, music, physical education and computer education. Pine Tree provides a fully equipped media center and computer lab, parent-teacher organization, full-time school counselor, full-time nurse, multiage program, character education program, recycling programs, academic competitions, oratorical contests, accelerated reader programs, accelerated math programs, writers workshops, reader's workshops, M.E.B.A. math program, diversity club, staff diversity training and student counseling groups. It also hosts the red ribbon week, read in week and various school convocations. The school is a part of the Avon Community School Corporation and is located in Avon, Ind.
