Office has very limited hours so its difficult to reach the doctor. M,T 8:30-5, W 8:30-3, Th closed, F 8:30-noon. They also shut the phone off for 1 hour for lunch. Messages often aren't returned promptly. The slips we received for diagnostic tests that were ordered did not have diagnostic codes and clear descriptions of the tests so Washington Hospital could not schedule them without clarification from the doctor. No abililty to e mail the office or doctor to receive clarification. Since they are affliated with Washington Hospital, you would assume there is a mechanism for the Outpatient lab to get this clarification directly but they were stymied by the limited access to the doctor as well.

This office is run by very organized office staff. The nurse prectitioner's dr. porbin hired are wonderful. I have seen them more than the doctor himself because i dont mind seeing others who are more than qualified to diagnose my colds or ear infections in my kids. When i call for an appointment i am able to be seen as needed. Also calling down at the last minute reguarless of waiting to be seen they fit you in somewhere. Dr. Porbin sees not only patients at the doctors office but elsewhere so he isn't always in his office. But the NP's who are there instead of him are just as great! Don't count out this doctors office because the DOCTOR himself isn't there. The people there will be more than willing to take care of you. Plus they always go through him before making any major decisions. Dr. Porbin and his staff are very good at what they do. Give them a try!
