I have worn glasses/contacts for 30 plus years...and hated it. After waiting 5 years, I needed a new pair and I just had to suck it up and start the search. I actually wanted to go back to plastic, but last time I did that I was 8 years old and had picked out Buddy Holly glasses...so I was really starting from scratch. O boy(!) I wish I started with South Austin Optical!!! I went to 4 places in town, looked online at frames, and then happened upon Mickey's website. I went by and thought I would be in there for hours and I swear the second pair I looked at I got! On top of that Mickey cleaned and replaced the nosepads on my old pair and gave me refillable cleaning solutions as added bonuses-such service is commendable. I will soon be getting sunglasses there for sure. Most valued is the fact that I actually like wearing glasses now thanks to South Austin Optical- wish I went there starting all those years ago!
