NYOS Charter School, founded in 1998, offers education to students in grades kindergarten through 12. The school s curriculum offers a variety of subjects, such as English, mathematics, social studies, science, American history, computers, and physical education. It uses problem-solving strategies, research work tools and thematic instruction methodology in all its academic programs. Sports activities offered by the school include baseball, football, volleyball, basketball, golf, chess and swimming. The school offers various extracurricular activities to students, such as band, choir, quiz bowl, yearbook, community service, and key and leo clubs. NYOS Charter School has an enrollment of more than 300 students, and is located in Austin, Texas.
