Great Store!!!!!!!!!! We purchased 3 Rooms full of furniture and saved a ton of money. We shopped almost every store in Austin and could not find a better deal. On top of saving money they were very nice. The delivery guys did a great job. Thanks,cs
BUYER BEWARE!! In Aug 06 my husband and I purchased nearly $10k worth of furniture at FM. We thought we had gotten a great deal. Nice looking furniture for very reasonable prices. We had issues immediately with this business. Our saleswoman was very friendly and helpful DURING our time at the store and our purchase but once the issues started her complete lack of customer service was revealed. Long story short, we had problems with damaged furniture, extreme wait periods for out-of-stock furniture, delivery (and they TOTALLY damaged our walls when moving the furniture in), and more. NOW I have just learned that my furniture is INFESTED with WOOD-BORING BEETLES. Anobiid beetles to be exact. According to research and my pest control expert, the ONLY way furniture is infested with these beetles is from the lumber the furniture is built from. The beetles enter the lumber while it is being stored/cured and lay eggs (damaging the wood). Eventually they EMERGE THROUGH the finished product - YOUR FURNITURE! It can take up to 15 years to actually SEE evidence of an infestation, but I HIGHLY RECOMMEND researching these insects and finding out what to look for in your own furniture to determine whether it is infested as well. Meanwhile, FM has agreed to "replace" my damaged furniture - the furniture that the beetles have already bored complete holes through - with what? MORE OF THEIR INFESTED FURNITURE! My advice - STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. There is, apparently, a reason why NOT ONE PERSON I'VE TALKED TO ABOUT MY FURNITURE HAS EVER HEARD OF THIS PLACE. It's just unfortunate that I'm not from this area and didn't know in advance to stay away. So my intentions are to inform YOU so you don't end up in my position. At least do your research BEFORE buying from them!
