I recently visited Dr. Lewis after a bad step off a curb injured my left foot. I did some research online and it seemed that my symptoms were consistent with a broken 5th metatarsal. At my visit, Dr. Lewis spent a total of 2 minutes with me, never once looking up to make eye contact or reciprocate the handshake I offered upon meeting. His Physician's assistant x-rayed my foot and commented that I wouldn't be walking if my "self diagnosis" were accurate. Dr. Lewis looked quickly at 1 of 2 x-rays taken, told me I was fine, prescribed Motrin and said I'd be good by Monday. I later saw a highly recommended podiatrist, who confirmed almost instantly upon looking at the x-ray that my 5th metatarsal was indeed fractured and that there appeared to be some ligament damage as well, exacerbated by the continued walking. My overall feeling with Dr. Lewis is that his practice is based on a model of accumulating as many visitation fees in a day as possible, rather than administering competent care
