My experience with one of thei...

My experience with one of their real estate agent, Helen Chiang, was not thing but frustration. At first, she treated me like a customer. Then, once she earned my trust, she completely messed up. I should have done more research myself about her before I trusted her as my agent represented me. She failed to fill the forms correctly and failed to inform me what my options were when the condo that I had contract on appeared to be a piece of junk! There were delinquencies at the community. I did not think that it is a fair purchase anymore when I received the loan declined letter from the lender. I thought that she was on my side since she was my agent. I was completely wrong. She did not even know how to fill out the forms properly, left many blanks on the forms. As a customer, I believe that I have the right to not purchase a condo that appeared to be a money pit. Therefore, I asked her to help me terminate the contract. She failed to explain to me what my potential consequences might be. I kept thinking that I would get my earnest money back. I kept thinking that it was the seller and her agent been difficult. I thought wrong. She was the problem. She kept on telling me that it was a gray area. I might get my money back. Came to find out, she was simply blowing me off. What a nightmare!

You would think that the Real Estate Commission will take care of this. Think not! Unless you have all the documents that the Commission is looking for, you will never win. As a customer, how would I know what the forms and terms mean unless my agent explains to me? Isn’t that why the agent is getting paid for? Isn’t that why we have the Commission to protect the public? I thought customers have the right, apparently not.

If you are going to hire Helen Chiang or someone like her to be your agent, you might as well do it yourself. She had caused me so many headaches before and after. I wasted so much of my time just trying to find out what was going on. If she would have told me what it was and what was going on, I would not have wasted so much of my valuable time and money.

I think Helen Chiang should retired from real estate and not harming other customers.

Sincerely,

Julie Lin
