On a whim, my son and I drove to Aurora from Republic for a leisurely lunch. I had heard the building was magnificent, full of history and nostalgia, but I was still unprepared for the majesty of the decor. Framed newspapers and pictures from 1905 (some earlier) grace the walls and instill a certain feeling of ancestory...The food? WOW! He had a sirloin steak (never my favorite cut), and gave me a bite. Melted in my mouth! I ordered seafood, which was similarly stunning. We have found our most favorite dining spot!
