Established in 1895 as The Old Ladies' Home of Aurora, Sunnymere is a nonprofit, 45-unit assisted living community that provides housing and retirement living services for senior citizens. Its facilities feature screened porches and private rooms with each of its accommodations offering a shared bathroom. Sunnymere provides assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, medication and bed making, as well as morning and bedtime care services. It also offers 24-hour personal support and podiatric services. In addition to housekeeping, laundry, linen, transportation, beauty care and barbershop services, Sunnymere conducts a variety of social, recreational and educational activities. Located in Aurora, Ill., Sunnymere serves the Fox Valley and Kane County.
