I had my eyebrows permanently applied over 13 years ago by Wanda. I am so happy and thankful for her awesome work. I don't have to draw them on anymore and I recommend this beauty enhancement to everyone! I just had the color refreshed at this health department permited location.

I have been going to Shear Talent with Color (f/k/a Plaza Designs) for many, many years...Betty Lou (the owner) is just GREAT! She really knows how to run a quality shop with great employees and services. I have personally seen Ivy for over 15 years and she has always done such a fantastic job cutting and styling my hair - be it long or short during that timeframe. I have also treated myself to Ivy's manicures and pedicures too! I go in a shaggy and in no time I'm beautiful again! Ivy is an expert and I trust her and Betty Lou to always provide quality service and products. The salon's prices are very reasonable and due to their high expertise - it is a great value! It is the only place I will ever go! You will love it too!

We've been going to Ivy for over 12 years!!! She cut our son's hair for the first time; and always... He is a challenging client with sensory issues and ADHD !!! She's patient and just awesome with him. She also does great with cuts and coloring... A totally High Five for her. The newly remodeled salon is also teriffic!!! all thumbs up!!!!

The salon is clean, well cared for, and in a great location. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeble, and customer orientated. I never know what to do with my hair. Shawn knows how to cut and style it, so it looks nice. Shawn's haircuts are thorough and easy for me to maintain. I enjoy talking with her, getting pampered, and visiting the salon. I can't wait to return for my next haircut!

I have been going to plaza design now for almost 9 years and Shawn has always been my hairdresser. She knows exactly what I want when I make my appointment. Whenever Im in a bind and need a cut or color fast, I can always count on her to fit me into her schedule. She is also great cutting my sons hair. Shawn Alfaro has been has been my hair consultant for 6 years now. Shawn has helped me out in many ways with the correct hair products. She is so very knowledgeable. I love the fact that she can just look at my hair and know immediately what I need. She recently introduced me to the Bosely hair products. I just love the way they make my hair look and feel. Shawn is up on all the newest hair fazes. I love the fact that she goes to hair shows to learn new techniques and color. I know I can depend on Shawn for all my hair care questions. She is AWESOME!

Plaza Design is a very professional salon, but friendly and welcoming at the same time. Ivy has styled my hair for years, she knows my hair better than I do. Not only does she cut my hair, but also the persnickety men in my life. Ivy....you are the best!

Ivy is the best hair dresser I have had for a long, long time, and her associates are carefully chosen also. Ivy is an "artiste". She knows how to make the best of one's hair combined with the best frame for one's face. Their prices are very good, giving excellent value for the service. One can rely on them!

I followed Ivy to Plaza Designs from her previous hair salon. I love going into the salon, especially because it's child-friendly! There is little container with little toys and books to keep my 4 year old occupied and suckers when we leave! The salon is very clean and the ladies are always friendly. There is a wide variety of magazines to read. The display shelves are filled with all different types of hair-care products.I highly recommend Plaza Designs for the whole family!

I've been a loyal customer of Ivy since the spring of 2004. She does an excellent job with my hair. Every 6 weeks I make my appointment, come in and she does her magic. I'll keep coming to her no matter where in the Chicagoland area I'm living. If I do re-locate to a different part of the country, she's coming with me! LOL

I'm a 9 year veteran of Betty Lou coloring my hair, and let me tell you that I can't go anywhere without someone complimenting my color....no kidding!! Betty uses/teaches the most current techniques around. I even keep Betty's business cards in my wallet to pass out when the compliments come my way! I have been going to Plaza Designs since first moving to the area. Ivy (my stylist) is wonderful, full of humor and a magician with my hair! The facility is clean, well maintained and it is a great "break" in my day to go in for a haircut. It is obvious that Betty Lou, Ivy and the rest of the stylists take great pride in their work. Highly recommended.

This salon is very clean and up beat. Stylists are all up on education and Color is a speciality of theirs. The owner had taught color for over 17 years. Try them out
