Located in Aurora, Colo., St. Andrew's Village is a residential care community for senior citizens. It offers independent and assisted living and skilled nursing care services. The community features various one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses. It has walking and fireplace areas, private and common dining rooms, and an Internet caf and club room. Its facility includes library, chapel, and activity, media and billiards rooms. Its wellness center features an indoor pool, Wirlpool spa and fitness center. The community additionally organizes various lifestyle, wellness, recreational, intellectual and community activities for its residents. Its services include housekeeping, 24-hour emergency response, laundry and rehabilitation. St. Andrew's Village has been serving the Midwest area for more than 20 years and is managed by The Stratford Companies.

The current director (1-7-17) is heavy handed with the residents. She arbitrarily tells them who they can and cannot be friends with. She recently turned away invited guests who were attending a birthday party for a friend of theirs and relative of mine. I was at the party when the guest were expelled for no reason. She is sly, does not communicate with residents well and has set a depressing mood among the residents. It's a shame she is the director b/c it's been so much better in the past.
