Animal Hospital of Sussex County, constructed in 1986, is a full-service animal hospital. It provides ultrasonography and endoscopy, radiology and X-ray, eye pressure check, and emergency services. The hospital offers Sevo gas anesthesia for all species, including birds and exotics. Its laboratory services include in-house chemistry and complete blood count machines with results in less than 30 minutes. Its full surgical suite includes soft tissue, ophthalmologic and orthopedic procedures. The hospital is certified by the American Animal Hospital Association, one of the world's leading associations of small animal practitioners. Animal Hospital of Sussex County is open Monday through Saturday, and is located in Augusta, N.J.
