Martinez Elementary School offers before- and after-school child care programs to students in prekindergarten through grade five. The school s media center houses a variety of print and nonprint resources that provide access to research materials and complement the school s reading programs. It operates a parent-teacher organization that sponsors fundraising events, carnivals, movie nights, picnics and art shows. Martinez Elementary School organizes special classes in music, physical education and art. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, language arts, social studies and science. It provides individual and group guidance and counseling sessions.
