I do not recommend this Augusta Turf & Tractor. 2017 I had my John Deere picked up by them for a $200 tune-up (money flushed down the drain). It was given to me by my mother-in-law, I had never driven or started the lawnmower ever, just want to make sure everything was perfect before using it. They picked it up and kept it a long time, had to keep calling to find out when it would be ready. Finally, they delivered it back to me. Started it up and began using it. It constantly smoked as I cut the grass each time. Called them back to complain about it smoking, they came and picked it up, no charge. They said that they never seen any smoke, they kept it a long time again, finally they delivery back to my house again. Started using it and it began smoking immediately. I said to myself, maybe there is some oil that needs to burn off and it will stop smoking. Continued using it and finally I heard a loud pop and the engine began to run very loud. I parked the lawnmower and have not used it since.

I have a John Deere homeowner version riding lawnmower that needed a new set of blades and a deck belt installed. They charge $350 for that service. $350 for a belt and blade install. Unfortunately there aren't many options for John Deere service in the area.

Somewhere between gross incompetence and deceitful greed, you will find a word for this company. I fell for a coupon promising a great deal for spring servicing. A couple of months after contacting them, they came & picked up my tractor. After 3 weeks, I called and a new power steering hose is needed. Upshot $200 extra to install a $48 part.



Another month went by,.. my weeds went to seed. Upon its return, (after yelling at them) the mower belt fell off immediately, the tractor and engine were filthy. The deck was not leveled as advertised, the drive shaft was not greased and the universal joint came off twice. Then both spark plugs blew out of the engine because they were not screwed in tightly.



Ironically, I used to be a dealer of John Deere forest equipment. However, I would never recommend their brand again since this is their dealership.
