General Info

Vision Statement for Temple Reyim Temple Reyim is a warm, active and diverse Conservative congregation that is committed to promoting the values of traditional Judaism in a contemporary environment, creating a vibrant, welcoming and participatory community. Our members are accepted for whom they are, but we challenge one another to grow educationally, spiritually and religiously. As reyim friends- we understand and accept the responsibility of chesed, supporting each other during times of need as well as celebrating with each other in times of joy. We also hold sacred our responsibility for tikun olam, to improve and invest in the greater community through leadership and involvement in projects and causes that bring honor to God, Torah and Israel. To achieve these ends, we strongly encourage and support increasing involvement of our members in all aspects of our religious worship and rituals, celebrating together our rich and complex heritage. At the same time, we are dedicated to the highest levels of excellence in the quantity and quality of educational opportunities that we offer our congregants of all ages. To accomplish this, our highest priorities include our religious school, youth programs and family and adult learning programs. In recognition of our responsibilities to others, we promote numerous ongoing partnerships throughout the year with religious and communal agencies that support our belief in the essential role of the State of Israel to the Jewish people as well as our commitment to the greater good. Through these activities and programs, our members are stimulated to grow morally, intellectually and communally.
