Dr. Mehul M. Mehta is a world-renowned hand, plastic, and reconstructive surgeon with extensive experience in the treatment of wrist fractures, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytrens contracture, and severe soft tissue injuries. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Surgery of the Hand (CAQSH). He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Mehta also specializes in the treatment of congenital disabilities, hand problems and injuries in children. Dr. Mehta has gained a reputation for his knowledge and use of modern techniques along with the compassionate treatment of his patients. Dr. Mehta provides volunteer surgical services to victims and disadvantaged populations, in the past missions have included rotations around the world with International Surgical Missions and Operation Smile.

I had a Dupuytren’s Contracture. The first doctor (another practice) I saw dismissed it. Decided to see Dr. Mehta since he did a wonderful job on my grandson’s broken arm. So glad I did! He repaired the contracture and got my moving again quickly. My finger is straight again! The entire staff is excellent.
I have had two surgeries on my hands, rt and left, over the years. I gave up playing the guitar for over 20 years. I am playing now without pain and all movement. True stroy and it sounds like a commercial. Maybe, a bit quiet or shy with patients. That is not what you are hiring him for. As I got to know him, I really like him.
