- Divorce
- Child Custody and VisitationI have extensive experience in all areas of domestic relations law, including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, visitation, contempt, modification of support, the claims made for and against seeking alimony and the financial security and needs of each client. Throughout my career, I have been involved in many cases involving civil litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants. This includes representing corporations in disputes with state agencies over the classification of independent contractor when compared to an employee. The process of going through probate and the administration of estates has always been an area of law that has stimulated my interest, particularly when members of a family put forth challenges to the matters being probated and cannot agree on a course of action. Litigation involving estates and those interested in those estates present a significant challenge to every lawyer but one that I welcome. My years of experience have also carried me into the arena of criminal law where, more than thirty-six years ago, I tried my first felony, criminal case.
- Spousal Support
- Criminal DefenseNow celebrating my forty-fourth year in the practice of law, I continue to look forward every day to providing sensible, practical and the prompt delivery of services to every client. I am committed to the needs of each client and have learned after more than 44 years as a trial lawyer, that each client and the needs of that client are different. I am sensitive to communicating with my clients and keeping them "in the loop" and informed as to each and every stage of the process. My approach remains the same, regardless of whether your case involves issues of family law, the administration of estates, criminal law or other civil issues. Some cases, but not all, cry out for a practical, quick and reasonable resolution. I have learned that this practical approach is to seek out and explore alternatives to dispute resolution. This can be accomplished through negotiation or utilizing the process of mediation or even arbitration. I am trained and registered as a Neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and where appropriate, employ those techniques for the benefit of my client.
