Very good food

I really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and the wait staff. The only issue I had was how long it took to get seated.

Doesn't value their Customers

I had gone to two urban licks a few times prior to this experience I'm about to share and never had a problem. However, one evening I went out with a few friends for an enjoyable Friday evening but it turned into anything but. Our waiter was not attentive at all and it took entirely too long for our food to arrive and when our food finally arrived I was dissatisfied and wanted to speak with the waiter about taking it back. Well, 30 mins passed before the waiter even came back to the table to check on us. By the time he made it back to the table I was so upset I asked to speak with the manager. The manager came over and I explained to him why I was not pleased. He was extremely defensive and I expressed to him that he wasn't conveying good customer service. I made the statement that I'd had better service at apple bees. He then proceeded to tell me and everyone else at the table to pay and then leave. I had never been so insulted in all my life. I didn't come at him in a disrespectful manner I simply conveyed that I wasn't please with the service in hopes that they would take the constructive critisism and use it to provide better service to their customers. I proceeded to tell them they never had to worry about me or anyone I know for that matter coming back to their establishment b/c I refuse and I advise others to never spend your hard earned dollars in a place where you aren't valued and respected as a customer. I don't care how big they think they may be. Everything that goes up must come down. I almost wanted to stage a one woman boycott and recruit others b/c I'm just that type of gal but I figure it was a wasted energy. If they keep up this type of treatment they will be the cause of their own demise.
The sad part is I actually liked that restraunt before that day. Now I will never return. EVER!!

Worst Experience Ever at Two Urban Licks Atlanta.

Worst Experience Ever at Two Urban Licks Atlanta. Made reservations for 9:30pm on a Tuesday evening. Arrived at 9:23pm; took 17 minutes to have them find us a table which happens to be outside, which was nice to see the skyline. We waited 15 additional minutes only to ask a server could a member serve us. No bread was given out while were waiting to be served

Super Cool Place for Guests

My wife and I went here the other night and had a blast with a few friends from out of town. I had the sausage stuffed duck breast, INCREDIBLE and we also had the smoked salmon chip appetizers, (I highly recommend them) This place is a little of a scene but uber cool!!

Good Food, a bit NOISY!!

I met up with some business associates last night who were from out of town and wanted to try a trendy place, so I took them here. Look the food it great, but the atmosphere is what makes this place. It's always got a TON of people at the bar, very noisy, but it has a great energy to it. You gotta try the SALMON CHIPS, best appetizer on the menu, it's almost an entree, so make sure you share. And the duck entree stuffed with sausage, is one of my favorites.

Great place to hang with friends!

Last weekend, we went ther to meet up with friends for dinner and ended up having a great time. I had the duck stuffed with sausage, man that is a little taste of heaven. Also, try the salmon chips as an appetizer, you can't go wrong with those. This places has a great energy and was perfect for our birthday get together!

Mediocre food, total jerk of a waiter

Went here years ago and had a great meal after waiting an hour past our reservation time. They comped the heck out of our bill, so all was well.

In the years since, I've gone vegan, so obviously this place never sprung to mind as a great place to dine. But I went back this weekend for a friend's bachelorette dinner. I asked the waiter to help me figure out what I could eat, since nothing on the menu seemed to be animal-product free except for a salad, hold the cheese.

The waiter's response: Eat some meat and give up this stupid vegan thing. Seriously, you just need to order a steak and get over it.

Really? That's your response? I mean, you can THINK I'm an idiot who needs some bacon -- but can you keep your mouth shut and HELP ME? I've waited tables -- and I know -- you don't have to like me, but you do have to SERVE me!!

Fortunately, I was in a good mood, so I just laughed it off, but it was annoying that he made a snide, snarky, insulting comment EVERY TIME I interacted with him!!

He finally brought me a ""vegetable platter"" and proceeded to misidentify two of the four items on the plate! Two of the things were good (the roasted squash? hello, he should have just given me a pile of that!) -- but two were bland and icky. I know the place specializes in meat and such, but geez -- even my HUSBAND can whip up a tasty plate of sauteed veggies!

So I'm sure TUL won't be sad to hear that they've lost a vegan customer... but even if I started eating meat again, I would definitely not go back! With all the restaurants in Atlanta, there are MUCH better ways to spend your money, no matter what you want on your plate!

Nice date spot.

I've been here a few times. I love the atmosphere. It's always really busy but my wait time has never been that long. It's a fun place. Nice variety on the menu. My friend orders the tuna tartare every single time we go :) The valet guys are nice as well. I appreciate a good staff. Oh, and they stay open late for you knight owls. Try it !!

Tolerated it for friends birthday

Went to a birthday party there for my friend who loves the place. We were seated rather quickly as she had reservations. The place was balmy hot so they had plug-in fans running to move the warm air around. This added to the loud noise of the place. The fan near where I was sitting had a click to it so it sounded somewhat like an air compressor running beside our table through the course of the evening. Then add to that everyone talking extremely loud trying to be heard. I was seated on long rickety bench that is attached to the wall. It was rather uncomfortable. The server was pretty good for the most part and his prevailing attitude when a question or comment was made was ""You are fortunate to be here in our super-trendy restaurant, so sorry if you don't like it but we wont change anything"". I am working the Dave Ramsey plan so in an effort to keep cost down I ordered only the Ravioli $10.00. The four flat raviolis were pretty bland with sweet cherry tomatoes and crunchy English peas over them -- not sure how those conflicting flavors got shuffled together but that is a taste preference so I will give them a pass on that. I did not like it -- I was hungry and couldn't make myself finish the tiny dish. (I had to eat when I got home.) The food was brought to the table very rapidly and that was a positive. I received my bill: the Raviolis were $10.80 with tax and the gratuity was $8.82 -- 82% of the bill - wow. The server said they divide the gratuity equally across all of the people in the party -- so how nice, I get to subsidize the gratuity for the others at the table... bite my tongue... I was thinking I have to keep quiet and write this off as a lesson. One other major positive about the place was the valet service. Everything inside the restaurant was lackluster for the most part.

Good atmosphere, average food

A industrial restaurant feel with high ceilings and exposed pipes. Cool art, and wood fire kitchen smell. Very cool vibe when you walk in. We ordered the salmon chips as an appetizer and it was fresh and tasty. For entrees we ordered the ribs and the jerk chicken. The ribs are a wood smokey taste and a little on the dry side as most wood smoked meats are. The jerk chicken was humongous and was a little dull, but you could tell they tried. If I could do it all again I would have just ordered apps and small plates. The main plates were underwhelming.

inconsistent service

I have been here twice and noticed a big difference in the service and the food. The first time the food was wonderful and the service was fast. This is why we went back. The second time, the service was really slow and my filet was salty. I don't know if I want to go back and try it out for a third time.
