- Dental ExaminationUnlike tooth decay, which often causes discomfort, it is possible to have periodontal disease without noticeable symptoms. This is why regular dental checkups including periodontal examinations are very important.
- Fillings
- CrownsThe part of the tooth that is seen above the gum is called the clinical crown. When not enough of the clinical crown is showing, the gum must be repositioned to expose more teeth. This is called crown lengthening. There are two situations in which crown lengthening is commonly performed: to improve the appearance and to allow a dentist better access to decay.

- Root Canal Treatment"Honestly one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had! I’ve had horrible experiences with multiple dentists and root canals so I was highly anxious and nervous. Both Nicole and Dr. Kashlan were amazing because they took their time to take care of me! They both made me feel so relaxed and I really appreciated the effort they made to make me feel okay! They also took the time to explain the procedure and were very gentle with my anxiety. Would highly recommend to anyone to visit here! ❤️"
- Periodontal SurgeryEsthetic periodontal surgery is sometimes performed to change the dimension of the front teeth and to optimize the esthetic outcome of treatment with new crown restorations or other esthetic dental care. In some instances, a simple procedure can increase the length of the teeth to improve esthetics.
- Deep Cleaning
- DenturesGenetics may play a role. You may be predisposed to a more aggressive, severe type of periodontitis. People with a family history of tooth loss, or those who have parents wearing dentures, should pay particular attention to their periodontal health.
- Dental ImplantsAs a candidate for dental implants, you will have a comprehensive diagnostic examination to evaluate your potential for dental implants. Depending on the findings, pre-implant therapy may be necessary to develop adequate bone and tissue to support the implants.
- Oral Surgery
- Tooth ExtractionsAfter tooth extraction, the careful management of the socket prevents bone loss and facilitates a better cosmetic outcome.

- Cosmetic DentistryYour periodontist, general dentist, and dental hygienist form a team to provide the best possible dental care and maintenance program for your needs. Drs. Langston and Kashlan will see you periodically for periodontal maintenance therapy, and you will need to see your general dentist as well. Why? Because periodontal maintenance treatments are not meant to take the place of regular dental check-ups. Remember that your general dentist is primarily responsible for your overall dental health. Your general dentist will examine for – and repair – carious lesions (dental decay), change fillings, make new crowns or bridges, perform cosmetic dentistry, and whiten or bleach your teeth. Your general dentist will make appropriate referrals to other dental specialists when needed, and in general, guide your overall dental needs. This alternating periodontal health maintenance regimen gives you the best of both worlds.
