General Info

Main office, the Georgia Department of Transportation is divided up into seven districts which are responsible for operating and maintaining the transportation system at the local and county levels. Each District office has a District Engineer, who is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities of the district. The districts are subdivided by area offices which are overseen by Area Engineers. GDOT does not issue drivers licenses/State IDs or car tags/titles. Please contact the Department of Drivers Services or Department of Revenue for these services.
