The Fulton County Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that operates patrol, detective, K-9, marine, traffic, motorcycle, SWAT and domestic violence divisions. The department operates a peer support team that provides peer support and critical incident stress management activities to the department personnel and their families. The Fulton County Police Department also offers planning, coordination, response support and communication services. The department also operates a citizen s police academy that organizes a variety of safety-related programs for civilians. The Fulton County Police Department operates an explosive ordnance disposal squad that identifies and disposes of improvised hazardous devices, explosives, small arms ammunitions and law enforcement chemicals.
